Things have been a little crazy lately. Not in the my life is crazy busy and I cannot slow down kind of way, more like the opposite of that. 5 weeks ago I compound fractured three vertebrae in my spine while snowboarding...let's just say my days of snowboarding are now finished! However, in this time of rest and recoup I still was able to catch some photos of one of the sweetest babies who I was so excited to meet. She was a great little model and her room was such a wonderful place full of dreamy light and peaceful colors and provided a lovely backdrop for these images. My amazing husband was sweet enough to drive me down and even helped with some baby rocking. I am always thankful for my family and am so lucky to call this family my own and that they always trust me to capture these special images means so much.
This sweet girl easily stole my heart which I am sure you will see why!
They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, I am such a firm believer that must be true. This past summer I had the wonderful pleasure of capturing wedding photos for my dear friend. It was an incredible day in June in a most picturesque location near Puget Sound, with a ceremony and celebration full of love and the most personal wedding details. I don't shoot weddings, in fact I told this friend no..several times. But she was certain I was the one she wanted, and after months of discussions I agreed. I am glad I did, it was such a unique way to observe the wedding of a good friend, a new challenge professionally, and an incredible way to see the emotion of a wedding from another perspective. The rain came, but rather than ruin the ceremony it solidified a great union and provided such freshness to the start of a wonderful life for these two. Thank you my friend for being so persistent and trusting me with your special day!
